Gisela Esquivel, AMFT

Gisela Esquivel, M.A., AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her Master’s degree with an emphasis in Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College in May 2025. She provides therapy to adolescents, young adults, adults, and families, supporting clients through challenges related to anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, and life transitions. 

As a first-generation Mexican American, Gisela brings a culturally responsive and compassionate lens to her work. She values creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood, and is mindful of the unique experiences that can come with navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and generational differences.

Gisela’s approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing to help clients build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop effective coping strategies for everyday life. 

She has experience working with neurodiverse youth, including individuals with ADHD and Autism, and supporting clients in improving executive functioning, relationships, and self-esteem. Gisela is passionate about fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful growth at any age.
